Karen Roush Receives Certified Short-Sale Professional Designation
Karen Roush, real estate associate with RE/MAX 100, has completed the course of study and received designation as a Certified Short-Sale Professional. A Short Sale is when the lender of record agrees to discount their payoff to accommodate a sale of a house when
the borrower has experienced hardship and is unable to repay the mortgage and/or the value is proven to be less than the amount needed to pay off all loans, encumbrances and real estate selling costs.
Karen Roush, as a Certified Short-Sale Professional, is able to guide clients through the complex process of marketing the home, finding a willing buyer, working with the lender(s) and the other parties involved. She is experienced at working with lenders and how to present the offer to a lender that will make their jobs easier and more likely to agree favorably.
“This is not a do-it-yourself project,” said Roush. “I’m trained on how to prepare a well-presented and thorough package for the lender so that my clients have an advantage over less-prepared home sellers. My goal is to help my clients sell their home as quickly and painlessly as possible.”
Roush has been real estate associate for over 32 years and is a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. She is a graduate of the REALTORS® Institute (GRI), an Accredited Buyers’ Representative (ABR), a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a Consumer-Certified Real Estate Consultant
(C-CREC), and a certified e-Pro real estate professional. Roush is a member of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®.
